Episode 17: Perimenopause 101

In this episode, I talk about the HUGE TABOO that is perimenopause. I answer the following questions to give you a good understanding of what happens in our body as we approach menopause:

  • What is perimenopause? How is it different from menopause?

  • When will I go through perimenopause?

  • How do I know if I'm going through perimenopause?

  • What are common symptoms of perimenopause?

  • What is causing these symptoms?

  • Why is estrogen such an important hormone in our body? What happens when estrogen starts to decline as I approach menopause?

  • What can I do about our perimenopausal symptoms?

As always, this episode is not a replacement for personalized medical advice from your health care provider. I highly encourage you to continue to learn and to bring up your concerns with your doctor.
