Episode 54: The Missing Village in Motherhood with Zamina Sunderji Karim

In Episode 54 of the Not Your Mother's Pelvic Floor podcast, Aliya chats with entrepreneur Zamina Sunderji Karim all about motherhood, mental health, and so much more.

In this episode, you'll hear Zamina and Aliya discuss:

  • Whether or not Zamina wants her mother’s pelvic floor - and why!

  • The lasting impact of our childhood experiences, especially how we were mothered, on who we become as adults (and as mothers)

  • The massive shift that motherhood creates in our lives

  • The postpartum depression + anxiety that clouded Zamina’s life for 365 days.

  • How feminism + our current society might be setting women up for failure

  • The purpose of her app “Mevi” in creating the village in motherhood/parenthood that is currently missing
